Tyr Garibay had the fortune of being born to middle upper class parents. Rising through the ranks and doing everything that they wanted of him right up until they gave him his first speeder bike. That was the end. Tyr went from well mannered (for a Corellian) to a devil on the back of a bike.
When Tyr wasn’t racing here and there causing no end of trouble for the authorities and his parents, he could be found in any number of he various gambling houses in and around Coronet. Gambling became his second greatest pastime and money was no object. The higher the stakes the better. Right up until he lost his speeder bike in a bad beat.
Running for his life on the back of his bike finally came to an end when he got cornered in an alley with no place left to run. Shooting the first two goons was easy, but then he was out of ammo. Crashing his bike into the his third assailant was probably the hardest thing he ever had to do. Not only did it cost him his bike, but it put him on the run from one of the larger gambling houses.
Pulling the last of his money he booked passage on the first ship out of system. Jumping from planet to planet, always running from Corellian law, Tyr finally stumbled onto Tatooine. With his money running low, he was to do the unexpected. Tyr never was much for thievery, but when one is as far down as he thought he was one gets desperate. Knocking off a local thug in Bestine and making off with his speeder bike was enough incentive for Tyr to beat feet and head someplace else on Tatooine.
Arriving in Anchorhead with even less money, but a speeder bike that was in fair repair, Tyr changed his name and went looking for work.
Romalaj has spent the better part of a year looking over his shoulder. Never quite sure if either Corellian or Tatooine law was looking for him.
His skill with a speeder bike caught the eye of Taggart Wren. Wren brought his name up to the Suns of Anchorhead and they offered Romalaj a spot in their "club”. Seeing as he had no better offer he joined the group and has been with SoA ever since.
SoA tend to refer to Romalaj as “Trench” due to the coat that he never seems to take off regardless of what the temperature is.
